Rule for RBC Youth Tournament

RiceBowling Center– Youth Tournament Series

 

  1. USBC Rules and Regulations will govern the Tournament.
  2. All participants are required to be a member in good standing of the USBC and to have in their possession a current USBC membership card. Or may purchase a membership on site.
  3. Average to be used in this order:

a) Highest league average of at least 21 games as of January 1, 2012.

b) Unless 2010-11 season is higher then book average applies. 

c) If average submitted is not verifiable on bowl.com, bowler is required to present average verification at check-in. 

d) If no average is available bowler will be in Open division.

  1. It shall be each bowler’s responsibility to verify the accuracy of their average.  Failure to use the proper average, or to make a correction up to completion of the first game of a series, shall disqualify score if submitted average is lower than actual.
  2. There will be one scholarship prize awarded for each five entries.  In the event of ties, the scholarship prizes for the positions affected will be equally divided.  All scholarships awarded through the SMART program. Social Security Number required for SMART collected at event.
  3. No entry form will be accepted unless accompanied by entry fee. Cost for each qualifying date is $30 (Lineage $13.08, Expense $2.00, Championship $3.50, and Scholarship $11.42 plus added money). DEADLINE 7 days before each event.
  4. Copies of score sheets will be available immediately after bowling.  Original score sheets are official and any obvious errors are subject to change and correction by the Tournament Director.  Any protests must follow USBC requirements.
  5. Offensive language or destruction of bowling center equipment will not be tolerated.  Tournament officials can disqualify any bowler for either reason.
  6. Dress Code:  Collared shirt and pants. (no holes, no shorts or mid-drifts, no hats). USBC Youth Jersey allowed.
  7. No practice games by tournament bowlers will be allowed after the lanes are oiled.
  8. Points are awarded in each event and division in reverse entry count order. (Example 16 entries in Open division 1st gets 16 points, 2nd gets 15 points----15th gets 2 points and 16th gets 1). Top 16 point earners in each division are invited to Finals on June19th plus 2 alternates.
  9. Each Event is 6 games.  This is a scratch tournament with 3 Divisions: 149 & under, 150-175, Open. Finals are a bracket event.
